Today was a very long day. It has been raining since last
night so our baseball game was cancelled. Instead we went to Jumbo (Dominican Wal-Mart)
to buy food for 30 families. We then went to a sugar cane village where we
handed out the food and prayed for the people. After heading back to the
complex for lunch we headed out again to another supermarket to buy supplies
for an orphanage with handicapped children. This was an emotional time because
most of the children were in bed not able to talk or move. We stayed and
interacted for a little bit before heading back to the complex where we caught
some of the top Dominican prospects in action, before the rain hit again. After
a dinner we headed to free time for the rest of the night. Tomorrow doesn’t
look to good, so we may be changing the schedule.
